Development of Mobile Application for Enhancing Agro-Vet Services Accessibility to Poultry Farmers, of Tanzania

Agro-vet services such as animal feeds, vaccinations, drugs, feeders, drinkers, technical assistance and extension play an essential role in poultry farming sector productivity. However, farmers face a challenge accessing these services, nearby agro-vet shops since they rely on word of mouth their own husbandry experience, which is inaccurate unreliable. Developing mobile application for enhancing accessibility to very important improving production, that the focus this paper. Data were collected from 115 Arusha Dar es Salaam regions; simple random sampling method was used. 70% respondents declared depend family members, other neighbors, while 30% relied experience farming. The reason (agro-vet officers) are far localities, mainly found towns marketplaces. In study, Poultry Service Tanzania, application, developed ensure easy farmers. Therefore, saves time cost provides with easiness accurate information improvement.
